D&D motors?
Looking into getting one a D&D high torque motor. Anyone have one? If so how do you like it and whats your top speed? It will be going on an ezgo pds with 400 amp controller and 23 inch tires.
Thanks |

Have the hi speed torque in it is fine not real impressed with its speed so I'm guessing the hi torque would be 15 tops the hi speed is 22 tops

Re: D&D motors?
There is not one D&D high torque motor, there are many (unless you order an off the shelf motor). When you call D&D and inquire about a motor they will transfer you to an engineer and discuss your cart and your goals. You will receive a motor exactly how you want in just about a week.
BTW, I did have a D&D extreme high torque motor. It ran 21 mph on 26" tires at 72v. If I was 36v it would probably would have only done 12 mph. Not fast at all BUT it would climb anything even with 4 passengers on it. |

Re: D&D motors?
I had a DnD speed/torque motor in a 48v TXT on 26's. It's the best of both worlds. My top speed was 26 on flat pavement and torque was nice too. I could pull the fronts off the ground about 6" off the ground from a dead stop and carry them for about 5 feet. If I let it roll back about 2 feet and hammer it, it would drag the rear step from the back seat and ride a wheelie as long as I wanted to keep the pedal floored. Check into a speed/torque unit. The high torque motors are great if you throw a bunch of volts to them.

Re: D&D motors?
I'm with boke on this (actually with that name, I'm always on his side) I have a D&D as well, upgraded to 48v and LOVE the motor. It sounds great, and with the 48v's gets to 28 on 22"'s. Now that I've rebuilt my drums I may get to 29...
I went with this one: 170-008-0001 6-224I 8.6 21 -15 |

Re: D&D motors?
I am running a D&D speed/torque motor for a series cart on 36v with 22 inch tires and a 650 amp controller. I have tons of torque and I get about 16 mph out of it. I am very happy with it!

Re: D&D motors?
caint go wrong with D&D, and you actually get to talk to someone, unlike some of the others.
