Default Curtis controller issue

Good morning to all. I have a cart that i picked up real cheap but it won't run but maybe 2 mph. It is a cart made in japan or china.it has alot of features like an ezgo txt. I noticed on the side of the controller that ther is a lil light that is flashing. It will flash once and the flash 3 times.is this some kind of fault code on this curtis controller 275 amp?

Find the Curtis model # and Google the fault codes for it.

I doubt that a foreign made cart will have a Curtis speed control! See if you can find a make and model number of your controller and like Scott said, Google is your friend! I've run into tons of items that are made overseas that " resemble " parts that are U. S. made, but they're not even close!

It is a 1266-5201 Curtis controller 275 amp. The default code says it is a speed sensor. I have no idea though where to find the speed sensor for this overseas cart. does anybody have any ideas where to find parts for this thing I can't find the name of that everything's in Japanese writing

I would look for wires on the end of the motor. I have no experience with speed sensors, but from what I understand, it could be the sensor itself, a bad connector or wires, or simple a loose magnet on the motor shaft.

Magnet looks good. I have checked the plug and it looks fine as well. I disconnected the speed sensor and the cart still ran at a slow speed. The wires on the speed sensor look fine as well. I have no idea where to even find a speed sensor for this cart.

Is the speed sensor held in place with snap ring (EZGO) or screws (Club Car)?

Like the controller, the speed sensor is most likely an off-the shelf product used by other manufacturers of golf carts.
