Default 88 EZGO Marathon Moves on its own!

I installed a solenoid today and when I turned on the key it moves on its own in forward . I rechecked my wiring with no luck, it still moves forward when the key is turned on.

Sounds like more than one problem.

Does the solenoid click when the key is turned on? (It shouldn't)

Is it a resistor drive or controller drive?

Resistor drive, If I remove the 2 small wires on solenoid it does not try to move, no clicking sound.

When the pedal is fully up, the wiper of the accelerator switch should be connected to position -0-, which shouldn't have any cables connected to it.
Also, when the pedal is fully up, the lever arm should be pushing the button on the pedal switch (MS-3), opening the NC (Normally Closed) contacts.

Attached is a schematic of a resistor cart with the solenoid activation circuit highlighted and a photo of an accelerator switch assembly in the pedal up position.

If the pedal isn't going all the way up, it could cause the symptoms of the two separate problems you have (Solenoid energizing before pedal is pushed and cart moving without pedal being pushed.)

I pulled the MS-2 And tested it. It sends power throught it when micro switch is open.
I ordered a new one to replace it with.
