Plum Awesome
Got my new Plum Quick yesterday and installed it earlier. It took about 3 beers to get it done. Those guys are awesome. I was hitting in the low 30's. Robby told me I would get about 25 out of it but have a lot more torque. Got it in and did some test hits and man was he wrong 34.9 then 36.3

Re: Plum Awesome
Am I right about this? You send your motor in and for $225 and shipping (possibly brushes) they send you your motor back plum quick refurbished? Or do they keep your old motor as a core and send you a new motor?

Check my threads about plum quick motors. (1994.5 ezgo, brush replacement and bandit package, $295/w shipping($40 included due to brush replace my . 15 mph stock and 20mph w/upgrade). They rebuild your motor. They "claim" 20% increase but I and several other guys have had way better results.

Not to be mean at all but Robbie missed the mark totally. I would think a motor builder would hit he estimated mph a lot closer then that. Still great speed. |

Re: Plum Awesome
My motor is custom. I didn't send in a core. They didn't have a cool name so I'm naming it the "Reaper". I built 2awg wires. I also did a slight throttle adjust on PQ's advice. The gears are stock 12 to 1. He said it is a high torque motor.

Re: Plum Awesome
What is the sustainable speed on level ground?
What was the "slight" throttle adjustment suggested by PQ? Are you using Regen Braking? Is Turbo node turned on? |

Re: Plum Awesome
It holds 34 easy. Regen off. I opened up the box under the mat. Robby(unless I misunderstood) said make sure the plunger was passing all the way through with about an 1/8th sticking out the back side. Sportscoupe programmed the Alltrax at 100 percent. Not sure if the adjustment did anything but it moves and gets there quick.
