96 TXT charge port wiring
I have a 96 TXT non pds of my buddies, It is a wiring challenge and the last thing is the fuse for the charge port. The red wire from charger positive goes to one side of the fuse what wire connects to the other?
Thanks |

It connects directly to the battery post.

Re: 96 TXT charge port wiring
Does it connect to the same battery post as the white wire from the charger port positive?

Re: 96 TXT charge port wiring
I don't have a fuse on mine, but all a fuse does is "interrupt" where the wire used to go, if that makes sense.
In my case, my charger port only has two large cables, white (positive) and black (negative). If yours also has a smaller red wire, that's your reed switch, and needs no fuse. You can choose to place the fuse on either the positive or negative. It makes no difference electrically, but physically, one location may be better for your setup. |
