Default 1996 EZGO DCS towed in run

I have a cart I'm working on 1996 DCS. I believe it was towed, they claim that "it just quit" then they towed it.....blah blah....I hear all the good excuses. I believe the cart was towed, it smoked the motor and controller (Alltrax DCX 300)
I have replaced the motor with a D&D motor and another Alltrax DCX 300, I also put in a new solenoid. I put her back together and I get no light or anything on the controller, no solenoid activity. I tried the new controller in another cart and it lights up and all..... I'm wondering if there could have been something else that got smoked in the process. I did not change the resistor diode on the solenoid as it did not look like it was exploded or anything. Im not sure where to head at this point.....anyone?

A DCX controller has to have B+ on pins 6, 9 & 10 for Green Led to come on.

With Run/Tow in Run, Key ON and F/R in either F or R, check for voltage on those three pins.
If any is missing, or really low, trace it back to the voltage source.

A DCX is Plug-n-Play in a DCS, so a DCS schematic can be used or download DOC 100-51-C from the Alltrax site.

To get controller to activate the solenoid, B+ is applied to pin-5 via the pedal switch.

--------
I suspect the blown controller took out the Reed switch, or the fuse if the alternate voltage source recommended by Alltrax was used.

A 300 amp controller with a D&D motor seems kinda small dont it?

Check the solenoid activation circuit and then the ITS signal once the controller lights up.
