Can you increase performance on older ezgo electrics
I have a 92 electric ezgo. Just installed new controller and batteries. Wondering if there is anything that can be done to it to increase performance with these older carts.
Thanks |

The controller and batteries would have been a good place to upgrade.
But since you already replaced them your options are limited to the motor and possibly the cables depending on what you already have. Are you looking for speed or torque? |

Both would be nice. I also have new cables...So with the brand new batteries and refurbished controller; I could have done something different to get more out of it? I bought a higher grade battery than just the standard. I put in high end US batteries. ???

At this point a motor rebuild or replacement would be your best option. Don't feel bad though. I did the exact same thing as you before I knew any better. If I had a redo I would have gone 48v from the start. The next time I have to replace the battery pack I am going back with 48v. At this point the only additional things I need other than an additional 12v is a 48v charger and a new soleniod. |

Go 48volt. Worth the money. You can get by with your old 36v solenoid. I did for 6 years. Just power it from 36v not 48.

What would be the best way to convert to 48v? What parts do I need to do it right? Voltage meter, charger, batteries solenoid and converter for 12 volt lights? Did I miss anything?
