Default speed forward and reverse

I have 1987 ez go 36v. finally got it to go after finding some loose wiring. but to me it seems to go a lot faster in reverse than it does forward. is this possible or am I totally wrong? thanks.

I don't think it's neither. It has the resistor coils in a metal box. Does that help

you said you had some lose wires.....were they the high current cables that were lose?

so that is the only things you disconnected and reconnected.......and the cart ran fine before that?

It had batts so I put batts in it. It works fine but seems to not go all that fast
