1998 Ezgo TXT DCS - losing power going uphill
I have a 1998 EZGO TXT DCS 36 volt cart. It loses spend and the motor sounds burdened going up an incline. In addition, the forward/reverse switch does not engage consistently. The batteries are older but read 37-38 when fully charged. I went through the DCS troubleshooting tests and TEST 5 failed. It registered 4 volts instead of 36.
Any direction would be appreciated. |

Establish that you have a healthy battery pack before proceeding.
To do this attach a digital battery meter to the battery pack and tell us what the voltage drops to when you try to go uphill. |

Re: 1998 Ezgo TXT DCS - losing power going uphill
You should not, or only very briefly, see voltages below 31.5v. Even going uphill, it should be at least steady 34v. You should run it around a little bit, then check the individual batteries voltages.
