Default PDS won't go into Diagnostic

So my PDS is having issues. Just replaced the magnet for intermitant failure to go issues. Ran fine for a few days and now it's really misbehaving. It wont power down. The reverse buzzer activates whether it's in F or R. It goes quiet in N. The cart only goes in R and very slowly (labored). without being able to power down, I can't seem to get it into diagnostic mode. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

The beeper is more than just a reverse buzzer. It also communicates error codes.

Is it a steady tone, or a series of beeps.

Also, what do you mean by "power down"?
If you mean turn off, how can you tell when a PDS controller is on or off?

The buzzer is a steady noise - like being in reverse. When I say it won't power down, the battery level indicator is constantly on. When this first happened, I could turn the key "off" and still run the cart. When I put the cart in tow/maintenance the buzzer will go quiet. Thanks!

Have the controller and/or wiring harness gotten wet?

It sounds like there are shorts between some pins in the jacks plugged into the controller, or the controller has had a mental breakdown.

The first thing I would do (after flipping Run/Tow switch to Tow) is unplug J1, J3 and J4 and check for proper operation of the Run/Tow switch, F/R switch, Keyswitch and Pedal switch with an Ohmmeter.

I have driven in the rain but when I pulled the controller cover, everything looked like it had remained dry. When checking the pins/harness, do you check voltage from the pins on the controller, or the "sockets" on the harness plugs?

When checking voltages on a PDS controller control cables, slid test lead tip into back side of jack while jack is plugged into controller.

However, I suggested checking the switches and their associated wiring with an Ohmmeter first. To do that, unplug the jack and measure between the pins the wires to and from the switch are attached to. (Pin numbers are on the attached schematic.)

Continuity checks out. Finally learned how to use one of the three multimeters I have in my garage. I haven't checked the pedal switch yet as the bolts holding down the rocker panel are stripped. I'll get those out and check that switch. Staring to think my controller is FUBAR.

The ITS output at the controller looks good (steps 42, 43 of service manual troubleshooting guide), Except in the steps where you have to depress the pedal, the wheels go in reverse.I ran through the flow chart and everything checked out until step 41 (J4 pin 4 and Batt -). My result was 13.6, outside of the 15v plus or minus 1v. Is this reading far enough outside to be definitive? Thank!
