New to it all
Hey guys new to the golf cart world and new here. I just bought an old ezgo golf cart I am guessing early 90's TEXTRON is the model and it runs and looks good, can do mechanical things but I know nothing of a golf cart. just wondering about a few things to get me started thanks for the help,
1. What is the top speed on this thing ( I clocked it about 10mph) 2. What few things maintaince wise should I do now to help keep it running well |

Re: New to it all
top speed is 12 to 14 mph.............maintence wise its very very important to keep up on battery maintence.......water level and if needed use distilled water only and fill to approx 1/8 inch over lead plates......check and pull each battery you want them clean and tight always.......always let charger run till it shuts off...............if you do this 2 times a months you,ll save yourself many unnessasary breakdowns and get the most out of your batteries...............if your gonna do your own work get the service manual for your cart............good luck, have fun, be safe and welcome.............................

Re: New to it all
if the gage didn,t go up its not working, need to start by making sure batteries have enough that its not the low voltage sensor in charger you need 26 or 28 volts before it comes on.......if you have enough than you have a problem with charger..................................

Re: New to it all
Ok sounds good, I just figured that if the charger was humming it was working it finally cycled off by itself today. So how should I get the batteries charged up like they should be? I am also prolly gonna upgrade the cables and clean up the terminals on the batteries thanks for the help and looking forward to some more input
