Default 4 Wheel Disc Brakes - Any problems?

For those of you that have installed the 4 wheel disc brake kits, have you had any problems? Any regrets?

He sells the rear disc mechanical brakes, I am looking at the 4 wheel hydraulic disc brakes that members have installed. I heard there have been many problems but can not get a complete answer on the problems that have been had.

Did you do an advanced search on "hydraulic brakes"?

Don't limit the search to topic title.

I installed them on my 2001.5 workhorse a couple of years ago and haven't had any problems at all with them.I love 'em and can tell you they are MUCH better than stock or any cable operated brakes on the market;I'm not trashing the cable operated rear disk kits because they're a very good value for the money & have greater stopping power than stock but if you want maximum stopping power and have the cash go for the 4 wheel hydraulics

I've had them on my PDS cart for a couple of years. I did have a heck of a time getting them bled and I had issues with the banjo fittings leaking as well. I had to tighten them to a point that it really scared me but nothing stripped and they finally stopped leaking. I've been very happy with the perfomance. They stop the cart great, even from 40+ mph.

You guys ever tried bleeding the brakes on a LandCruiser with a LSPV?

If that is the only proplem then I will be making this purchase soon enough.

Thanks for the replies!

A "Mighty-Vac" makes bleeding brakes MUCH easier. Generally, you open the bleeder, pump until the bubbles stop, then close it off. I use it on my bikes and it's worth every penny.
