How to remove the
cup holder? Sorry if this has been asked but I did a search and come up empty. I want to remove it so that I can install my stereo and speakers. thanks

Hey Dodgefather, Unfortunately you have stumbled into one of those questions that very few will attemt to answer. Why? because it cant be done..LOL I put out about six customized carts a day and never have I successfully removed a cup holder. It seems that the founding fathers of Ezgo designed the cup holder and the rest of the cart was built around this. Only kidding!! If you try to get it off from the outside you will ultimately break the dash. The only way to get it off that has worked for me is removing the dash assembly and removing the tabs from the backside. Hope this helps

Try heating the cupholder tab areas with a hair dryer.

I've removed the cup holders on probably every cart I have had or worked on. The key is to identify where the tabs are first - then take a small flathead screwdriver and gently push the tabs down while pulling the cup holder up and towards you from the back side.

the biggest part is taking your time and not getting frustrated thats when you break it...........i also just try and locate tabs and take my time ....................
