park brake will not hold
Just picked up a 2005 36volt that needs some love. First problem is the park brake wont lock down. Looks like the hook and the metal lip it hooks to is worn. Can I use a flat file and clean up the edges to get it to work or is there something I am missing.
Thanks Mike |

Re: park brake will not hold
Mike, I have a 2007 that I just we did the brakes on and I had the same problem. I an sure the mechanism is the same, and the small plate (Catch Bracket) that it hooks on is held on with a few small bolts. I took mine off and just turned it around and reinstalled it. BUT yes, you could just use a file and make the corners sharp again. File the Pedal Latch Arm smooth to have a nice crisp edge as well.
