Default Charging batteries with a 12 volt charger

My batteries are completely dead. I just got the cart and previous owner has let it sit for over a year without charging. I read where you can charge two batteries at a time with a 12 volt charger. How do you hook the charger to the batteries? Do you have to remove any cables?

Positive and Negative of adjacent batteries. A volt meter to check voltages is always best safe practice. You do not need to disconnect any cables but do make sure cables and terminals are clean and tight.

Make sure water level is just above the plates before charging then after full charge top off.

You'll need some luck to bring 'em back but worth trying before you pop for a new set which you will be anyway very soon. Batteries don't like being ignored.

Good luck.
