Default Would you spend $3000 or $1500

Sorry if this is a repeat thread.
Don't know if first printed.
I'm about to power my three wheeler.
A reputable company can do it for $1500. SEPEX, controller, wiring, 16-18 hp 30 mph...$1500.
Same company A/C induction motor, twice the torque, 25 hp...30-40+.

What would you do and equally important, WHY?

As always,
Thank you.

I would NOT want to take a 3 wheeler past 15mph.

You can only kill yourself once! :)

Seriously though, I too would be a little scared to run that fast on a 3 wheel cart without lots of other modifications.

First mod: Start with the 4th wheel.

Seriously, I concur with everyone. Three wheelers were never designed to run those kind of speeds.

I wondered if this was a custom. Definitely custom, but still scary in my mind. Not wide or long enough to be really stable I wouldn't think. But, then again, I used to ride some pretty gnarly atc's (90-110mph top speeds), and have ridden 2 wheels over 180 mph...
