"Schaffer" axle? Anyone know?
All the new (this year) ezgo axles appear to be made by "schaffer". They appear externally to be mostly identical to the dana they replaced, except for the mounting brackets. Are they the same internally? I wanna know about parts interchange possibility. Did someone make dana mad, or go play in their corner? The mounting setup looks like you could make a "lowering block" pretty easy to lower the cart. They also now use shocks like a TXT (studs instead of rings). I see plenty of potential for low cost low-riding, except for the drawbacks of suspension "blocks".
Any other Ezgo dealers/techs/anyone care to elaborate on the change?? (or not) Just throwing it out there, LOL this is my First thread started (i'm usually the Yami guy). Kinda suprised no one has brought this up... |
