Default Putting on a new seat cover

So i bought a generic seat cover that fits all EZ Go carts. I own 99 cart and the seat back isn't rectangular, however the seat cover is. It has a dip in between the 2 sides of the seat back. This dip is making it nearly impossible to pull the new seat cover tight enough around it without leaving a lot of fabric left or an air bubble look which i do no want.

Any ideas on how to get this to fit like a glove?

Pics would help. I put new covers on my seat and seat-back - which has the "dip" you refer to. Piece of cake..

you need to use a heat gun to stretch the material into the dip and around corners to get rid of wrinkles, but be very careful not to over heat it, practice e makes perfect, are you sure you have the right set???

Never done any upholstery with vinyl. Would a blow drier work? Might not be hot enough.

hair dryer better than nothing and safer too, from melting the vinyl

That was my thought. I have a heat gun, and two salon blow driers, and I always start off with the "safer" heat method. Even on low heat, my heat gun can get away from me, if I ain't careful.

I've had a lot of luck softening things in the Southern sun for a few hours.

Again, never did vinyl work.

I own an upholstery shop and have been upholstering vinyl since the 80s, I've picked up a trick or two over the years, the heat gun is one of my main tools along with the staple guns, 1 important thing to note, all "vinyls " are not created equal, cheap vinyl like you find at a fabric store like Jo ann etc, can not take near the heat that a quality vinyl like "Naugahyde" brand vinyl can

Proof of my lack of knowledge in this field. I do have a pneumatic staple gun, but it's for "wood to wood", but still might work.

I just meant you prolly don't use manuals, like I have, but for novices, they're prolly fine.
