Angry Expensive Hard to find Lights

I am fixing up a 2001 EZ GO golf cart utility style and both of the headlights aren't working and the wiring job on this car was terrible, does anyone know if these headlights operate off of a 36 V source? I tried them direct to a 12 v and they did not work, odd both would be out. Also is there an alternate bulb?

Check the bulb for continuity with an ohmmeter.

Even if you have 36v bulbs, they would still be dim with 12 volts applied to them. Most likely they are 12v and either bad or the wiring is bad. Make sure you are getting 12v to the bulb also with a voltmeter.
