Loosing voltage on DC reducer
I added a stereo, interior LED's and headlights to my care. Put in a DC reducer to run it all (30 amp from ScottyB and i know he only sell good stuff). When i turn on the reducer the output reads 12.9 volts. When i turn on stereo and lights the voltage quiclly starts to drop and with 15 minutes the stereo shuts down and voltage output at the reducer is at 8.5. Any suggestions??

Re: Loosing voltage on DC reducer
Yes, what is the pack input to the reducer initially and then when the voltage drops?

Re: Loosing voltage on DC reducer
Full charge on new batteries. 38.2 volts. Ran stereo and lights untill stereo turned off. Pack voltage only went to 37.5.

Re: Loosing voltage on DC reducer
Scotty, isnt the reducer 36v-80v input? A 36v cart while running will drop below 36v, so maybe that is the problem here?

Re: Loosing voltage on DC reducer
I suspect I have the same ScottyB reducer. Mine only monetarily drops out when I punch my 4855 with very aggressive settings. A cap would fix.
Suspect you have battery problems. |
