Default Tell me if this is worth fixing up....

I got this cart for free, the one acid battery is dead, but when hooked up to a jumper the cart does move under its own power....is it worth the investment to get looking decent? The wiring frightens me....

Outside of the batteries, what would you think it would cost to get it looking decent? I don't wanna drop $1000 into a $500 cart, ya know.

Obviously a bench seat out of something...maybe a jeep

Clearly it's been rattle canned black

The fact the cart moves is a good start. Also depends on how crazy you want to go with the cart. Batteries are fairly expensive. Will take up most of your budget. The wiring actually looks pretty good as long as you clean up all the connections. If you are the do it yourself kind of guy, and if you have time. Definitely worth fixing. Can't let the killer air horn go to waste!

It depends. If you want something pretty and perfect probably not. If you are handy and want something that you can have some fun with I say use it. If it jumped ok than batteries are probably you're biggest expense if you keep it stock. I would jump on any free cart I could get.

Yea I would like to paint it but not sure it's worth it given the holes, and slight corrosion.

Also would like to lift it but don't have he budget for new wheels and tires, right now.

The seat cover is vinyl/cloth combo so I would like solid vinyl, so maybe but a stock seat.

Really my biggest concern is the body and basic cosmetics being able to look good from 5-10ft...by no means do I expect perfect. Also, the horn isn't hooked up so that could be a chore in itself figuring out.

My initial thought was to plasti-dip the body, but not sure now, given the condition

So when searching for parts, I don't look for marathon, just things that fit the year?

it was re manufactured ... i'd say the 93 marathon would work
the Electric Shuttle 950 Series is a 4 seat cart so i think that part is wrong

I was wondering why everything that comes up under that serial is for a 950, but mine doesn't look like a 950 lol. I completely missed the remanufactured part. Does that mean it started its life as one thing and finished it as another?
