2000 E-Z-Go Forward Reverse Issue

I have a 2000 Electric E Z Go golf cart. New batteries, new solenoid. When the key is on, and the accellerator peddle is pushed, there is no clicking sounds to make it go forward or reverse. It will go in reverse only when jumped from the solenoid from batteries, (with the peddle pushed) but will not go forward (will jerk only) but will not go. Any ideas of what to check next.

can you tell us what drive system you have look at the chart and figure out what you have, what is the battery pack volts? how old are the batteries?

36v & it is a series...and the batteries are brand new purchased yesterday

New batteries should be fully charged prior to first use.

What is the pack voltage?
Should be 38.2 or a bit higher.

I'm having a similar issue. Is your controller status light on? Is the charge meter reading?

i have it on the charger now it was showing 5.8 on the batteries whats bothering me it was working when i put the new batteries in it only reverse forward would only jump then just stoped if i jump it on the solenoid reverse works but forward dont it still jumps and stops. was wondering if its the forward and reverse switch control panel

two of the post on the forward and reverse panel was showing 35.8 and the other two was showing 36.1 this was before i put it on charger

The pack voltage is low, but should run about the same forward and reverse, so the most likely culprit is the F/R assembly.

The 5.8 you are seeing, where are you seeing it and 5.8 what? Volts? Amps?

that wasn the batteries voltage, but it only goes in reverse and jumps forward when i jump it from the solenoid with a jumper wire

when i push the pedal there is no clicking in the solenoid. only when jumped from the new solenoid.
