Default RXV King Pin Lube?

I've got my front end apart and I don't see a grease fitting. I assume lube is applied by hand.
What would be the best type lube to use? I read somewhere that anti-seize is used on the shock to a-arm bolt but not sure about the king pin.

OK, plain grease will be smeared on before it goes back together. It would have been nice of EZGO to have put a grease fitting for the king pin.
Thanks CTD

well if you want.....put one in. you can buy them at auto parts stores. then all you need to do is drill the correct size hole into the king pin tube, then tap it, and put the zerk in.....but you will need to drill a hole through the bushing in the right spot so in the future you get the grease to where it needs to be.

I'm new to carts and can see this is going to be a learn as I go thing.
I just took a good look at the inside of the spindle and can see It has a grey anti-seize color so I'm thinking thats what I'll use.
I also expected the wheel bearings to be the old type bearing & race but found the sealed type and they don't want to slide off. I'm going to pull the hub off with a gear puller.

a lot of different greases were or are used. and the type of bearings you described (old type bearing/race) is a typical set up, and has been used on the front ends of cars/trucks/carts and the like for many many years. The grey type you are seeing is most likely a Molybdenum based wheel bearing grease, which tend to be for heavier loads.

and if they aren't.....I would be willing to bet that the king pin bushings are made of an oil impregnated bronze. I know we use that in those types of applications.

I was told, NOT to grease them at all. Some type material that don't need it.

That what I was told by EZ go employee. I don't know that for a fact.

Some Caterpillar bushings are not supposed to be lubed with any type of lube.I don't know the reason why. Good enough for Caterpillar might work on a golf cart.
