EZGO 36v series
Hello, And thanks for any help. I have a 2000 EZGO 36volt series and i just put new batteries in, And when i tried the forward it only jump real slow then i tried reverse and it work fine. I tried forward again and nothen happen went back to reverse and nothen. Then i tried useing a jump wire and reverse worked fine then tried forward and jumped slow. and i am having to push the pedal to make this work, so the pedal seems to be working. thanks for helping..

No im her husband. i was just wondering if the forward and reverse Assembly was the problem of why theres no clicking sound comming from solenoid when pushing the pedal down.

if you put in a new solenoid, and you get no "click" when you push on the pedal, and you have to jumper it to move.....you have an issue with the activation circuit. you need to check it all out. on this diagram, the red and green lines are the activation circuit.

R the new batteries fully charged ? It can take over 12 hrs to fully charge new batts.

Maybe two problem, maybe just one.
Get the solenoid clicking when it is supposed to and the other problem (cart not moving) may disappear. There are a bunch of filter capacitors in the controller that are charged via the "Pre-Charge" resistor across the solenoid's large terminals. They hold enough energy to move the cart a little when everything in the High Current circuit is working except the solenoid contacts not closing. |

Ok here's a update i got the new forward reverse assembly and it works great but still have to jump the solenoid with the key on and push the peddle to make it move

looks like it was 2 problems then.
Follow the solenoid activation chart listed above to solve problem #2. It takes a + and - at the 2 small solenoid posts to make the solenoid close. |
