Re: charging question
How long do you let it charge for? 3 amps is good but if it want cutoff by it's self it maybe the charger, batteries, are both.
Check the batteries with a meter and see what they read. 6.3 volts each or better. If one of them is going bad it will keep the charger going and try to build it up to the rest of them, which in return will boil the rest of the batteris. Since you said it's a 02 cart I assume it has the Power Wise charger and those boards are bad about going out in them. Which most people will just bypass the board and it will charge it just want cut off. |

Re: charging question
pookie1135 do you know anyone with a charger like yours you could try to see if it charges all the way prior to shutting off. your voltage seems ok. these cart motors efficiencies are more based on amps for performance.cart is driving fine I assume? you never mentioned any issues with cart problems related to this

Re: charging question
From my experience 6.30 is on the low side but would be in line with the age of your batteries. Is the 40.5 at the end of the charge cycle? Typically this should be around 44 volts near the end of the charge cylce.
