Re: Dcs Or Non Dcs
I think the dcs is a programable controller and non dcs is not prgramable for speed chips etc.

Re: Dcs Or Non Dcs
DCS or Drive Control System was EZGO's first attempt at a regenerative braking electric system.
PDS or Precision Drive System is the successor to the DCS system. DCS carts from 96-2000 will have FNR behind driver's knee and a Tow/Run switch on the controller cover. PDS carts from 2000*- will have FNR on dash and Tow/Run on controller cover. *There were some very very early PDS carts in 2000 model year that DID NOT have the FNR on dash but there are very few of these. Neither of the factory controllers in either DCS or PDS are programmable and both systems utilize shunt wound electric motors and controllers. HTH |

Absolutely correct rusty. I misread the original post. The Fleets were also sometimes referred to as non DCS/PDS. |

Re: Dcs Or Non Dcs
Non DCS is the controller in the cart.
PDS models have the chip installation and the TOE/RUN switch on controller cover. The latest greatest cart 2001 to now Top of the line. DCS was a first try at this. 96-97 to 2000-2001. No Toe/Run switch or chips Fleet carts, marothone, TXT whatever you want to call them any year that has the Forward/Reverse switch between your legs with mechanical Forward/Reverse switch not electric. Depends on what year the cart is on what they call it. |

Not trying to confuse anyone. We all know I do that quite easily. But I'm pretty sure the DCS models come equipped with a Tow/Run switch on the controller cover. But you're right, no "chips" like the PDS. Just picking at 'ya. |

Re: Dcs Or Non Dcs
The early models had no switch. Not a problem!
