Duracell Procell vs
Duracell Procell. They are 215AH with 105 minutes of reserve at a 75A rate. Out the door for 6 of these would run $661.44 with taxes and the exchanges.
T-105 $774 out the door or Contenental $594 out the door Which one? |

Re: Duracell Procell vs
Most people go with the old "get what you pay for" saying with batteries.
For myself, I have only had first-hand experience with Interstate and Trojan and they have both been great for me... So I really can't speak for any of your three brands. |

Re: Duracell Procell vs
One of his three brands is Trojan's more popular battery.
I got nine years out of my Exides, back before I knew what I was doing, and had as good a charger. Hoping to top that with my eight Trojan T-105s. |

Re: Duracell Procell vs
One thing you will need to do is make sure you're comparing apples to apples. You first battery listed is 215 amp-hours. T-105s are 225, and we don't know what the third one is. Ask them for the 20 hour rating, as batteries have multiple ratings.

Re: Duracell Procell vs
Based on AH alone, you will get more charge cycles from the higher AH batteries.
Assuming an average daily discharge of 67.5AH (That is down to 70% SoC for a 225AH battery) you will get approximately 2044 charge cycles with the Trojans (225AH), for an annual cost of $138.31 and approximately 1978 charge cycles with the Duracells (215AH) for an annual cost of $122.14. What is the AH rating if the Continental batteries? They might be a better buy. |

Re: Duracell Procell vs
thanks guys, I'll find out the AH on the continental batterys. I can purchase either of the three, but...if I get the cheaper batteries, then I can also get a DPI from Scotty :)
I have a manuel charger now, and cant always get to the lease weekly. If I can get 5 years out of any of those batteries, that would be great. edit: this is a 36v all stock 91 marathon |

Re: Duracell Procell vs
True life expectancy of batteries are dependent on certain assumptions, such as how often a week you run them, and how far you run them down. If you bought a set of batteries and plugged them into a DPI and never used them, they'd still eventually die, so the more often and the longer runs you have will benefit more from higher amp-hour batteries than someone who checks the mail once a week. How you you figure dollars and amp-hours will be complicated, and you have to make certain assumptions.
