Default 98 DCS Won't go

I need a little or lot of help. I have a 98 DCS that just quit while riding it.
I downloaded troubleshooting and ran the tests, If I understand it right
the red wire from the tow run switch has failed. how do I check the wire?
Thanks..

find the two ends......connect the two leads, one on each end......then check continuity of the wire.

On the diagram below you can see the run/tow switch is actually 2 switches with 2 sources. One source is a junction on the + solenoid activation post. The other source is through the reed switch in the charger receptacle. The reed switch is a known weak point simply bypass it if it has failed.

Thanks Scottyb I have already bypassed the reed switch. that didn't solve it.
I guess I'll start chasing red wire.
