6 new batteries - $499
I have been shopping for batteries lately - I will be needing to get some in December or January for my TXT build. I found a place near my house that sells 6 batteries for $499. They are Powertrons. I never heard of them, but I can only operate my cart inside my little subdivision - 1/8 of a mile to the pool occasionally. They sound like they would do well for me. I have to bring my old ones in in my trunk and bring the new ones in my car.
Does anybody know anything about Powertrons? The place is called Papa Johns golf carts, see em here: wwwpapajohnsgolfcarts.com/ |

Re: 6 new batteries - $499
Powertron does not make batteries they distribute them. At that price they are probably out of Mexico. Are they full size or lower capacity? Warranty 18 mos or 12?

Powertron P2000 210@20hr 58lbs
P2200 216@20hr 59lbs. For comparison Trojan T105 225@20hr and 63 lbs. Last I checked T105s were $99 with core here on the south side. Might be worth the drive. Although for your stated use the Powertrons might be sufficient. |

Re: 6 new batteries - $499
I have had powertrons in two of my carts. They are VERY good batteries for the cost.
Not the best by any means, but good bang for the buck. They should do your "1/8 of a mile to the pool occasionally" Just fine! |
