Loose wire is better than having a screw loose?
I have two loose wires on my cart and I am wondering if anyone can help me out?
One wire (yellow colored wire in pictures 1 and 2) comes off the forward/reverse switch. The wire is the only wire connected to the microswitch. If you are sitting on the cart facing forward, it is the microswitch on the left side of the F/R switch. The other wire in question comes off, what I believe is the reverse buzzer. In picture 3, this wire is colored yellow. The orange colored wire is the one that comes off the F/R microswitch, and the red colored wire is the black wire that goes to the reverse buzzer. When the cart is in reverse, the buzzer does not sound. I was thinking that these two wires connect, but the eye hole sizes are different. The wire off of the F/R switch is 5/16 hole and the wire off of the buzzer is a lot smaller. The cart "works" without these 2 wires attached. I say "works" because I was only able to get enough charge in my batteries to get the cart to roll forward and reverse just a few inches. Thanks again for all the help. |

Sdsuslacker, if nothing else, I like your garage floor.....looks a lot like mine.
and could you use something to clean the wires off so we can see what color they are? |

The wire coming from the micro switch is black. The loose wire from the buzzer is red.
And that floor was my treat for not getting the garage I really wanted when we moved. I actually kept all of our belongings outside for 3 weeks until the temp got hot enough to put my floor down. |
