Hello all......

I tried the suggestion to wiggle the F/R switch with the pedal down and nothing happened......I also got a volt meter and have 38 volts coming out of batteries.

Any ideas?

38 volts is ok........ do you hear a click when you press the accelerator?

Look in or under the passenger side glove box for the ID Plate. What are all of the numbers?

yes the click is when I press the accelerator. It clicks one time each time the pedal is pressed. It sounds like it is coming from the big component on the passenger side of the battery box under the seat. (I think this is the controller but not sure). I will post the numbers that you asked for when I get back home today. I do know this is a former fleet cart.

Take and jack the cart up and place on jacks. Then get a small peice of wire and put on the two big terminals of the selonoid and have someone turn on the cart and have it in F/R in one of the other and press the gas pedal. See if the tires move. If so then it's the selonoid.
Just because it clicks doesn't mean it's working.
Here is a picture of a stock one.

I bypassed the solenoid with a piece of wire and still nothing. I checked the voltage on the main posts of the solenoid and get 16 volts just sitting there and goes to zero when the accellerator pedal is pushed.

I have a 2005 txt fleet cart and it was running erradic and slow after a few days of running it shut off . I checked the batteries and 38 volts from the pack and getting power to the solenoid and it is just making a clicking sound. swapped solenoids and controller from a cart which is running fine and still the same problem also swapped the batteries. The only thing I haven't swapped is the potentionmeter could this be my problem and yours also? I will check it tomorrow and let you know what happens hope you find your culprit. good luck, still hunting.
