03? Electric EZ GO will not go
2003 (not sure) ezgo electric golf cart I replaced batteries a couple months ago, my kids drove cart around house every day for several weeks with everything working fine. My son came in and said that the cart would not move, seems to be charging fine, buzzer comes on in reverse but nothing happens when pedal is pushed. Any help would be great, I am new to forum and not real strong on technical terms associated with carts....please help |

Does it have a run tow switch on the cover of the controller? Where is the forward / reverse swithc?

Re: 03? Electric EZ GO will not go
I don't recall ever seeing a run/tow switch. Would this be under the seat?
The F / R switch is below seat in center of cart. |

If you had one it would be mounted on the black cover on the passenger side under the seat.

I don't see a switch anywhere in the battery compartment on the passenger side.

Re: 03? Electric EZ GO will not go
First thing I would do is look for broken wires... it sounds like you have a Fleet cart... typically the 2 areas that I see arethe battery wire going from the back right battery (if you are facing the rear of the cart) to the front right battery -or- there is a little square cover on the passenger side of the cart under the seat - on top of it is a slotted head (for a regular screwdriver)... those are the 2 areas that I see them most.
Take a voltage meter and test the whole pack first - it should be over 36 volts. What with the kid doing? Was he driving it and it stopped or did it never start? |

No broken wires, my son said he unhooked from the charger, backed out of the garage, put selecter in forward and then it would not go (forward or reverse).

Welcome to the forum Melvin Hicks............
Wiggle the R/N/R selector while pushing on the gas pedal. If it jumps, jerks or tries to move, you probably have a bad F/N/R selector switch. |
