Default Installing new controller

I have a 1995 EZ-GO Electric Car. The car had lost power and would get hot quickly. I replaced the sylinoid and all the wires. Then noticed that the controller was burned up, too. I have obtained one and now would like to see a wiring diagram just to make sure I'm putting it back right. It is 36 Volt. The EZ-GO Solid State Electric Wiring Diagram (OLD) isn't like mine. Can you tell me where to find more diagrams?

I rebuilt the controller on mine. 6 diodes and two drivers were burned. I pluged it in and the same ones burned in 5 seconds. what is the story about yours.

if you get a alltrax controller they give you quick directions .....they arn,t hard to install however make sure you use the 250 amp fuse that comes with it.......just had a member who didn,t use the fuse and made a mistake and it cost him a brand new controller.............its the simple things that will bite you....................................

Speaking of fuses on controllers, I noticed that the alltrax controllers came with a fuse. Does that fuse just get wired inline on B+ between the battery and the controller? I assume that's where it'd be installed, just like with other electronics like mobile electronics, amplifiers, etc.. Just curious, because I am thinking I'll install a fuse inline to my STOCK replacement controller in the club car when I get it. I figure better safe than sorry.

That sounds like a good idea....I am going with a controller conversion and no fuse was shown in the wire diagram...

I've got a couple of the ANL fuses (that's the type I see with the alltrax controllers) and the holders, so I figured it'd be perfect for this. We normally use them in car audio installations, for massive systems that require 2ga or LARGER (2/0) wiring, but I don't get into those installs as much these days, so may as well put these to use.
