Default rear end locked up

So I just picked up 2 09 pds's and both came from the same place. Got them at an auction for $500 each. Both rear ends are locked up. I took the brake drum off and its not the brakes. U pulled the plug out of one of the rear ends and there was no fluid that came out. It wasn't dry but no fluid. Still had oil on the gears. Does this should like its the rear end locked up or does it sound like the motors are froze up.

I'd just pull the motors then you'll know for sure.

christent85......the PLUG on the bottom of the diff, it just that, a plug, it is NOT a DRAIN PLUG, even with the proper amount of oil in the rear end (10 oz.), when sitting on level ground, NOTHING should come out when you remove the plug.

OK. So all the fluid will be pretty much down in the diff cover. Kinda like a bowl holding water and the diff just sits down in it some?
