Default ezgo txt axel bearing- can it be greased?

is it possible to grease/lube the rear axel bearings on a 1999 ezgo txt/western? If so, what is the procedure?

Do I have to remove the entire axle? Once it is removed, is it hard to get it lined up to reinstall ( the axel)?

I have a cart that I hear a squeeking from the rear hub area.

I don't know about the western but the TXT has a sealed bearing. You have to pull the axle to replace and replace the seal behind it also if it is like a regular TXT. It is not hard to line up on reinstall.
Check the stickys and download a service manual for help with the work.

The squeaking could be a loose hub

When you say a loose hub, this on the rear end. I don't see any parts referred to as a hub.
I have removed the wheel, the brake drum, and all brake parts, all I see left is the axel and the bearings inside the axel.

Can you post a picture of this " hub" that is on the rear!

"branson" is referring to the splined brake drum that EZGO TXT's have. I'm not sure if the Western series has this. Does your cart have a large castle nut holding the brake drum on? I know that my industrial cart does not. It has a flanged axle just like a rear wheel drive car.
