Default EzGo RXV Vs Club Car on hilly area

I'm shopping for a new electric golf cart and we live in a very hilly area (Trilogy, Corona, CA). I'm a total newbie on these and wondered if I could get an educated opinion on the EZgo RXV vs a Club Car. My wife is going to be using this and so I'm obviously concerned about braking performance.

Thanks.

I love my RXV. Runs faster and goes further per charge than Club Car. Hills do not affect it to much either. It also does not have traditional drum brakes.

The RXV will serve you good. There were brake and solenoid issues on the first ones but if you get a newer one it should already have the new style brake on it

havn't work on too many CC, but I will say the RXZ is a different beast. MAKE sure you get one with 8v batts instead of 12v. the 8v will last longer and you will have a slight increase in range on a charge. the RXV is also a/c driven so it will not loose as much/if any speed on hills compared the DC driven carts.

good luck on your choice.

Yeah I might lose 1 or 2 mph on a hill with 4 people on board but not bad. The conversion to 8 volt batteries helps a lot but if I was to do it again I would move the controller behind the batteries and run 8 6 volt batteries, there is enough room with relocated electronics on the passenger side. Just guessing Kellybell but that could be taken in a negative manner, just saying.

I've got a 2010 rxv. Great cart. Excellent brakes.

The RXV has 16.99:1 gears from the factory because the stock motor is capable of 6000 rpm out of the box (actually can unofficially hit 9000 rpm without grenading, Not Approved By EZGO!). Few traditional Dc stock motors (if any) can do 6000 rpm. The stock gear ratio is the highest on the market, therefore the RXV should by way of mechanical advantage loose the least speed when climbing a hill while still achieving 19 mph from the factory.
