Key switch off and back wheels off the ground on stands.
+ lead of a volt meter on one of the small terminals on the selonoid perfeably the battery side. - lead on pack - battery. Should read 0, then turn key on, depending on if it's wired through the micro switch or not you should read pack voltage, if not press on gas pedal until the micro engages and see what it is.
If you have pack voltage then take the leads and place on the 2 bigger terminals and see if you get pack voltage with the gas pedal depressed. If not then selonoid or micro switch is gone bad. The selonoid can click and still not work.

Exactly. Works just like a car/truck solenoid.

Note: You cannot replace the solenoid with a car/truck solenoid.

thanks will try it and see what i can come up with, if this does not do anything, is there any way to check the motor, or speed controller, or anything else that might be keeping it from running!! thanks for any info you might be able to help with, kenneth this is my first time trying to troubleshoot these, i also have an old melex that runs like a top, got this one a while back and havent had much luck!! checked the voltage with my fluke, and still having issues!!

before you get to controller and motor if it dosn,t work jumping the solenoid check the micro switches on the back of the F&R switch the one on driver side in particular it has a long arm on it and they tend to bend and twist and cause problems...................................
