1991 EZGO Marathon Need Help Identifying Electrical Component
Hi, I broke a leg off this piece off the top of the stock controller when removing from cart for new battery tray replacement. Diode? Capacitor? What is this and do I need to replace it? Attached is a picture of the item and the symbol of it on the EZGO wire diagram. Thank you.

Re: 1991 EZGO Marathon Need Help Identifying Electrical Component
It is a MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor) and the cart will run without it, but it probable should be replaced.
It is a device that protects the controller from voltage spikes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varistor |
