leaning western cart
Hi all again,
I noticed my entire cart is leaning to the left, why would this be? The pics in my previous topic (canopy) don't show this. Thank you, Rick. |

Re: leaning western cart
Hi Rick,
As you probably know, the Western carts were all built on Ezgo chassis. Western outfitted the chassis with the larger heavier body but, retained the original suspension. In my service career it was not uncommon to replace the springs in these carts. Oftentimes there is only one person riding in the golf cart and over the years this seems to wear out the driver side springs and caused the carts to lean. |

Re: leaning western cart
I've been kicking around the idea of swapping the driver side front and back springs with the passenger side front and back springs so the cart would be closer to level side to side with just me on it and lean to the right when SWMBO was riding with me.

My 1991 cart had a lean to the drivers side and I did what JohnnieB is thinking and swapped the rear springs. The lean was still there. That was when I figured out that is was the front springs causing the problem. The springs were fine but the mount where it attached to the cart had cracked. Once I repaired it the cart set dead level. You might want to check the front also. |
