Default EZGO don't go

Hi, I have an EXGO TXT bought it used, put new batteries in has run good for weeks, yesterday my son (16) was riding it through the yard and it quit. no forward, no reverse. Batteries are good, switch under throttle pedal good, key switch seems good, I think trouble is in the relay box (box on passenger side with a run/tow switch) How do I check, what do I look for. I have a good meter and a wiring dia, all cables and connections look fine. Any help would be great.

Check all the cables good and tug on them to see if anyone of them is broke off.
Jack cart up and put a jumper on the 2 big selonoid terminals and see if it will run. If so change the selonoid out.

Thanks Andy, that seems simple enough, I already checked the cables but I didn't jump the selonoid, it was connected to a large relay box with cables buy passing all this and going to the motor, and jumping straight through off the selonoid...I was not sure how to attack it.
Thanks

You jumped it with the key on, wheels off the ground and jumper installed to the large terminals and pressing the gas pedal correct? If nothing happened it's the selonoid. Did it click when you hit the pedal?

Ok, wheels not off the ground, but key in, switch on, run/tow switch to run, seloniod jumped, pressing the pedal. micro switch under pedal clicks, I also pulled the mat up, opened cover and checked switch under pedal with a meter, and it works. I had lots of open room in case it took off, I figured that was the reason to jack it up. Is there another reason to have jacked it up.

Yes, it was in gear, I tried forward and reverse, didn't make any noise when it quit, if I can trust a teenage son. Not sure what a reed switch is, but if I could find it, I checked it with my meter.

If you did all that it's more than likely the selonoid.
Turn key off put + lead of meter on the small terminal of selonoid + side and - lead of meter on - of 36 volt battery. See what you have should = 36 volts. Now move the = lead to the other small terminal and see what it reads something smaller than 36 volts if it has the diode connected. Turn key on and it should read 36 volts. If it does then check the bigger terminals for voltage. They should show 36 also.
