Default Ez Go TXT 1999 Solenoid issue.

Hi,

I am assembling a 1999 TXT 36 volt without the luxury of a wiring diagram. I just about have it all figured out but my solenoid will not activate unless i jump it manually. What triggers the solenoid to latch??? Is it from the microswitch in the F/R switch or from the throttle pedal switch?? When should the solenoid be energized, With key on, or in F or R?

Thanks, Ken

Not sure I can help you, but it would help to know if the cart is a Fleet or DCS electrical system.

Does your cart have a Tow/Run switch on controller cover?

Should be a series motor / controller aka "Non-DCS/PDS" or "Fleet".

This diagram should work for your cart.

Good luck.

Keyswitch energizes the ITS micro.

The solenoid should only engage when the key is ON, AND the gear selector is in FORWARD OR REVERSE, AND the gas pedal has been pushed down..

Thanks,
It is looking like I have a broken wire to the pedal box or a deffective pedal switch. Do these commonly fail or are they bulletproof?
