93 Marathon upgrade
I have just bought a 93 marathon, put a 4" lift kit on it. I have 4 guage wiring ordered. It will be used in the woods with a couple of steep hills. I have 22-8-10 tires on it. What all other components do I need to upgrade? This is the first cart I have ever been around.
Thank you, Dtree |

Re: 93 Marathon upgrade
93 cart should have the controller box between the batteries correct? I would look at a high amp controller for hunting.

Re: 93 Marathon upgrade
with the upgrades your doing the motor will be the last of it, gives you more of a reason for a bigger controller.......you won,t be unhappy..........good hi speed motor shipped at the most should be 375.00 to 400.00 ................its just the last peice to the puzzle...........................................8 )

Re: 93 Marathon upgrade
If it were me I would go with a 450 to 500 amp controller. This should be more than enough for most. The motor you have now should handle the controller just fine.
I would even look at a upgrade controller to 48 volts + 2 more 6 volt batteries and a charger for the money. You will gain torque and a little speed. The motor will handle it fine. |
