Default Better Check In From Baja

Seems like I am trying to be as hard on my 2003 EZ-GO as possible, but I am not. Having solar panels on the top [360 watts] I am trying to get the most out of the batteries life as possible. As this started out to be an experiment to see if this was even possible. I have not plugged it in ever in the 5 years since starting this experiment and have been very happy with the performance and distance and recharging capabilities of the panels. But I am in the sunshine 6 mo in Baja and in Mosier, Or., the other 6. But can I be harder on my cart then I have been, probably not. With the new batteries I have poked 2 holes in the batteries and lost acid. Patched with JB Waterweld, Burnt two battery posts off and repaired with tap and stud, Towed it in RUN for a quarter mile before remembering to put it in TOW, Replaced the BANDIT motor after some wires across the armature? came out of the slot and flattened out and finally broke into. I am sure there are other things that I cant remember that. I did to it. I love my cart but it seems like I am torturing it. I guess I am not paying enough attention to little things, especially the battery cables not being tight enough. That will burn your terminal off very quickly. Anyway with the Bandit, 4 ga. wires and 400 amp controller I am STILL GOING app. 23 mph with stock tires. Got to go and burn up some of that Solar Energy . Solar panel controller doing its thing this morning at 43.0 volts on my 36 volt magic carpet. Still Leaping

JHNMLFR SW Florida sounds like it might have some
SUN. Are there any Solar Carts down there. I dont really mean the carts that have just one panel for extended range like you can buy on-line for too much money, altho I would like to hear from them also to get a real-time answer on how they like the commercial top. I use mine daily and have driven 18 miles one day and checked the voltage the next morning before the sun hit the panels and still had 70% left in the battery. I know, hard to believe. I have 360 watts on my 36 volt EZ_GO.
