Another project
Picked this up today for $100, I'm still trying to decide what I'm going to do with it, but I'm thinking it will probably become a trailer to haul more passengers behind my other cart.

Re: Another project
Trailer it is! This is where I stopped today. It has A LOT of rust, so i definitely wouldn't condider it for a total rebuild, but it should be fine for what I'm going to use it for.

Re: Another project
That's awesome Matlock. I hope to do something similar one day, but first I need to score a $100 roller!

Re: Another project
Check your local cart dealerships, you'd be surprised how cheap they will let old carts go for, just take your trailer and some cash!

Re: Another project
After grinding away all of the rust, and priming the frame, I sprayed the entire frame with body undercoating. I got the 12" wheels with 25" tires mounted today.

Re: Another project
And another with the body and seat sitting on it to see how it will look.
My cart has a 5" lift with 23" tires, on the trailer I put a 4" lift because it was a freebie, and 25" tires, so hopefully it will sit pretty level with the cart. I still have to find somewhere to buy some 2x2" steel tubing to reinforce frame and make a tongue and some sheet metal for the floor board. |
