Default Two SN's and a remfg tag 88/93 Marathon??

I have two tags on the Marathon I just bought. The first tag is what I think is the original tag, the second tag also has a serial number and remfg.
I have looked up both numbers on the EZGO website. The first serial number is for an 88 electric Marathon, and the second is for a 93.

My question is why are there two tags, and which year do I order parts for?

I'll start a build thread on this, but I want to title it with the correct year.

Thanks,

Scott.

As far as I can determine, it's still an '88 cart as far as the parts are concerned. I would refer to it as an '88.

Thank you, that's what I would think. But......what is the remfg tag for, and how can I figure out what was done then and/or why?

Anyone know about this process?

I know little to nothing specific about carts. I've worked in electromechanical fields, for the last 15 years. Actually figuring out what to do on them looks pretty straight forward......

Again, thank you for the help.

Carts are leased from the factory. When the lease is over some carts are returned to the factory and are freshened up for resale. Adding a reman tag is the factory's way of keeping track of what they do.
