rxv bottoming out w/ 4 adults
my ez-go RXV is bottoming out over bumps with 4 adults. is there a solution for bottoming out with 4 adults , while still having a nice soft ride when it is only one person? i know about heavy duty springs, but these make it very stiff and bouncey when there is only one or two people in the cart.
Thanks , Chris |

Re: rxv bottoming out w/ 4 adults
When I had my RXV I had the same issue. I installed a pair of HD springs (ezgo part # 604494) and they didn't make the ride bouncy or stiff with a single person. I have to believe it's because they are a single spring and not a multi-spring pack. I also install some Monroe shocks to replace the stock units. The cart had a lot more stability while cornering. If I were to ever get another RXV, it would be one of the first things I'd do.

great info, thanks! any chance you remember the air shock part#? were they a direct remove and replace, or did you have to fabricate anything?
do you think the air shocks alone might solve my problem? |

Re: rxv bottoming out w/ 4 adults
looks like Monroe MA702 air shocks might be what i need for my EZGO RXV. not quite sure. they dont look like they have the eye ends on them. wonder how i can get those? can i remove the old ones from my stock shocks? what about what psi to run in them? wonder if i dont need the heavy duty springs at all with these air shocks?

i replaced the standard leaf springs when adding back seat with jakes lift and never had a problem. I have standard shocks all around.

Re: rxv bottoming out w/ 4 adults
They were NOT air shocks. My cart had a jakes 6" lift, so I took the measurements and went over to the auto parts store and sorted through the shock listing to find a set that had eyes on both ends, no larger than the need diameter and length and found these:
I think I needed different size nuts and bolts but don't recall exactly. |

So redking, i saw you've install a pair of hd spring on your rvx,, are they tough enough to keep the cart stiff with two or three person on the rear seat. ?

No problem at all. I used to have a couple heavy weights back there all the time.
