Default Home service vs shop service?

I think I've brought this up quite awhile back, but I'm bringing it up again, since my memory is so bad.

The only decent place I know of to service my EZGO electric is about 90 miles from here. They're a pretty big/reliable place. Last year the pick-up/delivery rate was $80....which isn't bad at all for that distance.

I'm wanting to get it serviced again. I want it in tip-top shape, since I rely on is so much and it gets alot of use, riding it over our large rough/wooded property.

Anyhow....The service guy emailed me and said they could work on it here at my house. I don't have a garage, and the weather is still really unpredictable. Don't you think it makes more sense to just have them take it to their shop, where they can do so much more for it, if need be? I think my lights need rewired again, thanks to mice, and one of my tires needs taken off and checked, and I want them to check every else over. Just makes sense to me that taking it to their shop would be the way to go.

What do you think?
Thanks.

Having been the technician I can tell you that shop service is better than mobile service. For piece of mind, send it to the shop.

Personally.....if I were in your shoes.....take it to their shop, that way, if anything unexpected comes up....they are prepared for it all, and would have access to any and all of the parts they have in stock.

I agree , you can never bring everything on a service call. That's from experience. (Had a mobile auto repair for a few years) very frustrating.

Thanks everyone......you all have said what I was thinking. So......hopefully they still have pick-up and delivery. It just has to be a better job, in the shop.
Thanks again.
