Default Need a Controller

Looks like we need a controller again. I purchased one on here used in Oct. 12 ran great till the end of last season.

Have had some back issues so have not gotten around to looking at the cart this winter but, need to get back to it now since hopefully spring is just around the corner.

Looking for a controller for an 06 Ezgo PDS -- does anyone have one for sale?

Thanks in advance

I have one I just took off my 06 EZGO PDS cart that works perfectly. It even has the speed (freedom) chip to make your cart go 18-19 MPH. I sent you a PM about it

You can have your stock controller rebuilt for cheap.

BUT, before you go spending money why is it being burned up? You mentioned having a PDS cart. Do you have a lift kit, oversized tires and ride off road a lot? If so that is the primary reason it is failing. You keep replacing it and after a while you could have bought a high current Alltrax controller.

If you want to stop replacing the controller one and for all contact ScottyB. He can advise you the best upgrade path.

Thanks Sportcoupe for the info on the repair company--that is the way we will go if it is the controller for sure.

It is a stock cart that we use at our campsite, no off roading, no lift, has the wide tires and ss mag wheels.

We bought a controller on this site a year ago and all was great until the end of last season.

The cart does fine on flat land but when you go up a hill it loses power and goes real slow.

Have tested all batteries (2 years old), they are test good.

I will have to check with hubby and see what all he has tested but, he said he is at a loss for what it is so "assumed" it is the controller.

Anytime a controller fails, it is best idea to check motor to see if it caused the failure. There is a little screw cover/window, at least look in there to see brushes and commutator arent fried.

Hubby took motor apart (he used to rebuild motors years ago) all looked good. I'm trying to help him out as he has had some back issues this winter and is behind on getting this cart fixed . I told him I posted questions and he said thank you, he will look at it this weekend (busy work week) if he can't figure it out, he will write up what he has checked so far so I can post on Monday -- that may help in the diagnosis. Thank You!
