Default TXT 04 upgrade to 05

I have a 04 TXT and also a 05 that I'm just upgrading to a new body and cleaning up to resell it. But my question is the 05 is quicker than my 04 and I saw the other night the motor on the 05 said “hi speed" on the stock motor.

So do I swap out the motor out of the 05 and put it in my 04?

Or swap out motor and controller of the 05 and put it in my 04?

Or not do anything not worth the time swapping them around?

That depends on what the plan is for the 05? If it is a throw away then may be worth doing or just sell the parts? Kinda depends on what you have in it, what it can sell for.....stuff like that? If you have never done this before you will find it is easy to get too much money tied up in a cart to be able to sell for profit.

scotty I'm going to sell the 05' I have a new black body I'm putting on it and recovering the seat covers. I got a good price on the 05 and I have cleaned it all up and just going to flip it.

It took me 1 hour last night to tear it down to bear frame so I got the hang of it now. My brother and I are starting to impress our self on what we can do now.

As long as they are the same electrical systems, the motors should be a straight swap.

i.e. PDS --> PDS or Fleet --> Fleet.

Am I missing something?

If they are both PDS. Run diagnostics and see which jumper they have(some people call them a chip) Chances are your faster cart is gonna give you 4 beeps. Hope this helps

If you are going to sell both of them? I don't see the point in switching motors around?
