1992 Marathon Battery Issues
I am new to BGW and recently purchased a 1992 EZGO Marathon. Not knowing anything about it, the guy said the he had not charged it in a while so it would take a long time to charge. well, after two days of charging it to the first battery on the driver side with his 12 volt charger maintainer it would jerk forward and that would be it. so i did more investigating and realized I had to buy the right charger. I bought a charger for 36 volt marathon models. but the connector from where the charger plugs in has been cut off. So when I get the new charger I will buy the cables to extend to the B- and B+. so in the interim, I have been charging each battery with my DieHard Battery charger. the highest it will go is to just a hair passed 4, never gets to charged(when the green light appears). are these batteries dead? is there something that I could buy to determine if they are? I plan to buy batteries but I didn't think it would be right out the gate! what kind of batteries should I buy and where can I get them from? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!
